Papertronic® books enable an author to create and a reader to enjoy a written book linked directly to videos. Topics can be both written about and shown, simultaneously, in Papertronic® books. A reader only needs a copy of the printed Papertronic® book and a smart phone and they can read and view the contents, anywhere.

A Papertronic® book is printed on paper like a conventional book, but links to an electronic part of the book. This resides in the ‘cloud’ and can be viewed on a smart phone, or computer. The design of the Papertronic® book enables a direct link between the printed and electronic parts of the book. Small pictures, with bar codes, appear in a side bar, next to the text. The Papertronic® Bar Code Reader, available from Papertronic Ltd for iOS and Android smart phones, enables the reader to view the audiovisual content.

A Papertronic® book is also available as an eBook; a fully electronic App.

The eBook version of the Papertronic® book shares the same page layout. Words and illustrations, accompanied by small pictures (without bar codes), appear on each page beside the relevant written text. It is available on Mac OSX, Microsoft Windows, iOS (iPad) and Android platforms. The Papertronic® or eBook can access the audiovisual content from the ‘cloud’ or from the supplied flash drive.
